I am a writer of fiction and non-fiction with a serious hobby of photographing birds.

Writing and researching often go hand-in-hand, so I spend a lot of time in archives, whether organizing or accessing them. My passion for history has expressed itself in biographies, articles, films, exhibitions and podcasts.

An active board member at the Greenwood Museum for Living History in Hudson, Quebec, I also do volunteer work for the Canadian Heritage of Quebec.

I live with my partner on a heritage homestead in North Glengarry, Ontario.

The language of birds is very ancient, and, like other ancient modes of speech, very elliptical;

little is said, but much is meant and understood.
